Badarak Schedule

Badarak is held every Sunday at 10:30 unless otherwise noted.  Please refer to the Sunday Bulletin for more detailed information.

Hokehankist (Requiem Service)

Please call the Church Office to request a Hokehankist.  Requiem Services can be requested for any Sunday other than the Five Major Feast Days (Daghavars):

  • Armenian Christmas
  • Easter
  • Transfiguration
  • Assumption of the Blessed Mary, Mother of God
  • Exaltation of the Holy Cross

Please call the Church Office to make arrangements.

Kiss of Peace:

The person giving the greeting says:

Krisdos ee mech mer hydnestav.
Christ is revealed among us.

The person receiving the greeting responds:

Orhnyal eh haydnootyoonun Krisdosee.
Blessed is the Revelation of Christ.
 

Church Etiquette

When you arrive at church, make the sign of the cross as you enter.  A parish council member may ask you to wait before entering the sanctuary during the Gospel Reading, Great Entrance, Hayr Mer, Confession & Holy Communion. and other other selective parts of the Divine Liturgy.

Please refrain from talking during Church services.

Distribution of “Mas”

The person giving says:
Mas yev pajin yeghitzi kez ee soorp badarakes.
May this be to you a share and portion from the Holy Sacrifice.

The person receiving says:
Pajin im Asdvadz havidyan.
God is my portion forever.
