TO THE CHURCH COMMUNITY OF ST. HAGOP ARMENIAN CHURCH.

Welcome to Der Hovnan and Yeretzgin Anna

We welcome Fr. Hovnan and Yeretzgin Anna . Most of us met our Pastor and Yeretzgin when Der Hayr was Deacon Jason. We look forward to a dynamic and empathic relationship for many years to come. Fr. Hovnan and Yeretzgin have been in this area since august 15 and are settling in their apartment on 66th St, within a short distance from the Church. Der Hayr will have an office in the Parish house which will also serve as Sunday School and Administrative center for the Parish Council and the other Church Organizations.  The current Office Building is slated for demolition as the “Site Work “ proceeds forward. We hope you will be understanding of the temporary inconvenience that will result.

Church Consecration and Banquet Schedule

Your Parish Council, Der Hayr and the woman’s Guild, the Consecration and the Banquet Committees, in addition to the Construction and Fund Raising Committees are fervently pushing forward in preparation of the Pontifical Consecration of our Sanctuary by His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians on October 13 and 14, 2007. We hope you will all participate in this celebration. After 20-plus years we will have our own Sanctuary, Our own St. Hagop Armenian Church. We remember the early years, we appreciate and respect the founding and visionary members who sacrificed, labored, contributed their time, talent and treasure that made it possible for us to celebrate our beautiful Church with its Armenian architecture that will be enveloped by the Tuffa stone and floor stones recently imported from Armenia. Here is some specific information that will help your planning to fully participate in the forthcoming CELEBRATION.
