The new chapter of ACYOA (Armenian Church Youth Organization of America) has many plans and is becoming very strong thanks to the encouragement and support from our parish! Our mission is to foster a greater sense of religious spirit, Armenian tradition, and leadership. We are doing this by meeting up with youth from across the diocese, sister parishes, and by traveling to New York for the leadership conference.

We have so many plans to make our chapter very strong and have held many meetings and events already. This has all happened within a couple months! One of the exciting things we recently did was a Car Wash, which was very successful…we raised over $400! To view photos from the car wash, please CLICK HERE. We were very encouraged by it and hope to do more activities like this. For example, we will be involved in a Habitat built in the spring and plan to have a fun event in cooperation with Sunday school. More details will follow.
Our members have very innovative ideas for events and fundraising and we can’t wait to do them all. If anybody would like to help us with ideas or offer support in any way we would very much welcome and appreciate it!
On April 18-19, 2008 we traveled to St. Mary Church of Hollywood , FL to join the youth of that parish and of St. David in Boca Raton for a weekend of fun, food, faith and fellowship! We all had a wonderful time and are grateful to all our supporters for making it possible… special “thank yous” go to Ed Kapreilian for donating the van. Also to Vasken and Karen Minassian, the Women’s Guild, Ruby Khatcherian, Debra Kamajian, Eileen Barsamian Jennings, Jack and Pauline Kachanian, Hermine Pechdimaldji, Martha Samuelian and others for making a donation to support our accommodation expenses.
